*Rujuta Diwekar* dietian
*Her advice to diabetics*:

1. *Eat fruits grown locally* ..... Banana, Grapes, Chikoo, Mangoes. All fruits have FRUCTOSE, so it doesn't matter that you are eating a mango over an Apple. A Mango comes from Konkan and Apple from Kashmir. So Mango is more local to you.
*Eat all the above fruits in DIABETES as the FRUCTOSE* will eventually manage your SUGAR.

  2. Choose Seed oils than Veggie oils. Like choose ground nut, mustard, coconut & til. *Don't choose chakachak packing oils*, like olive, rice bran etc.
*Go for kachchi ghani oils than refined oils.*

  3. Rujuta spends max time in her talks talking about GHEE and its benefits.
*Eat GHEE daily.* How much GHEE we should eat depends on food. Few foods need more GHEE, then eat more and vice versa. Eat ample *GHEE. It REDUCES cholesterol.*

  4. *Include COCONUT.* Either scraped coconut over food like poha, khandvi or chutney with idli and dosa
Coconut has *ZERO CHOLESTEROL* and it makes your WAIST SLIM

  5. *Don't eat oats, cereals for breakfast.* They are packaged food and we don't need them. Also they are tasteless and boring and our day shouldn't start with boring stuff.
Breakfast should be poha, upma, idli, dosa, paratha.

  6. Farhaan Akhtar's new ad of biscuits - fibre in every bite... Even ghar ka kachara has fibre, likewise oats have fibre. Don't choose them for fibre. *Instead of oats, eat poha, upma, idli, dosa.*

  7. *No JUICES till you have teeth*in your mouth to chew veggies and fruits.

  8. *SUGARCANE is the real DETOX.* Drink the juice fresh or eat the SUGARCANE.

  9. For pcos, thyroid - do strength training and weight training and avoid all packaged food.

10. *RICE - eat regular WHITE RICE. NO NEED of Brown rice.* Brown rice needs 5-6 whistles to cook and when it tires your pressure cooker, then why do you want to tire your tummy?

A white rice is hand pounded simple rice.

*Rice* is not high is GI INDEX. Rice has mediun GI index and by eating it with daal / dahi / kadhi we bring its GI index further down.
If we take _ghee over this daal chawal then the GI INDEX is brought further down._
*B.* Rice has some rich minerals and you can eat it even three times a day.

11. How much should we eat - *eat more if you are more hungry,* let your stomach be your guide and vice versa.

12. We can *eat rice and chapati together* or only rice if you wish. It depends on your hunger. *Eat RICE in ALL THREE MEALS without any fear.*

13. Food shouldn't make you scared like eating rice and ghee. *Food should make you FEEL GOOD.*

14. *NEVER* look at *CALORIES.* Look at *NUTRIENTS.*

15. *No bread, biscuits, cakes, pizza, pasta*

16. Ask yourself, is this the food my Nani & Dadi ate? If yes then eat without fear.

17. Eat as per your season. *Eat pakoda, fafda, jalebi in monsoon*. Your hunger is as per season. Few seasons we need fried food, so eat them.

18. When not to have chai - tea - don't drink tea as the first thing in morning or when you are hungry. Rest you can have it 2-3 times a day and with sugar.

19. Eat *ALL* of your *TRADITIONAL* foods.

20. Strictly *NO* to packaged foods / drinks.

21. *Exercise / Walk* to digest & stay healthy.

Renal calculi and homoeopathy

One of best area for homoeopathy is renal stone cases most of the calculus are passed out fully or broken into bits by homoeopathy drugs.

Treatment is based on symptoms then we can take the location and side of stone for selection of remedy

Treatment duration varies according to individual lifestyle occupation and location of calculi

Only rare exceptional cases with very large stone needs surgery unless without surgery we can remove it.

The only system of medicine which has the ability to stop the recurrence and formation of calculi.

Aetiology
♦ Diet: Vitamin A defi ciency—it causes desqua mation of
epithelium which acts as a nidus for stone formation.
♦ Climate: In hot climate urinary solutes will increase with
decrease in colloids, which leads to chelation of solute with
calcium forming a nidus for stone.
♦ Citrate level in urine (300-900 mg/24 hours) maintains the
calcium phosphate and carbonate in soluble state and any
decrease in citrate level in urine causes stone formation.
♦ Infection in kidney: Urea splitting organisms commonly
cause stone formation, i.e. E. coli, Staphylococcus, Strep-
tococcus, Proteus.
♦ Prolonged immobilisation causes decalcifi cation of bones
and so hypercalciuria leading to stone formation.
♦ Hyperparathyroidism causes hypercalciuria causing multiple
bilateral stones or often bilateral nephrocalcinosis (5%).
♦ Hyperoxaluria, as a result of altered glycine metabolism.
♦ Cystinuria (Autosomal recessive).
♦ Stasis due to obstruction to urine fl ow.
♦ Medullary sponge kidney.
♦ Randall’s plaque theory is erosion and deposition of urinary
salts as Randall’s plaque at the apex of renal papillae.
♦ Carr’s postulates states that minute concretions called as
microliths normally develop in the subendothelial part of
the tubule which will be carried away as particles by renal
lymphatic network vessels. If these lymphatics are blocked,
microliths enlarge and act as nidus for stone formation.
♦ Others: Sarcoidosis, myelomatosis, gout, idiopathic hyper-
calciuria, hypervitaminosis D, neoplasms on treatment, hypomagnesuria (Mg++ in urine acts as a complexing agent
and prevents nucleation normally).
♦ Renal tubular acidosis: Commonly causes calcium phos-
phate stone (10%).

Types
1. Oxalate stones (75%): Also called as mulberry stone as
it is brown in colour, with sharp projections. It is invari-
ably calcium oxalate stone, shows envelope crystals in
urine.
2. Phosphate stones (10-15%): It is either calcium phosphate
or calcium, magnesium, ammonium phosphate stone usually
occurring in an infected urine. It is smooth and white in
colour. In an alkaline urine it enlarges rapidly, fi lling renal
calyces taking their shape called as staghorn calculus. It is
radio-opaque and attains a large size.
3. Uric acid stones (5%) are smooth, hard, yellowish, multiple
and radioluscent. They are seen in gout, hyper uricosuria,
altered purine metabolism.
4. Urate stones.
5. Cystine stones (2%) occur in cystinuria where there is defec-
tive absorption of cystine from the renal tubules (autosomal
recessive condition). It is seen in young girls, occurs only in acidic urine. It is
multiple, soft, yellow in colour and the colour changes to
greenish hue on exposure. It attains large size. It is radio-opaque because it contains sulphur.
6. Xanthine stones are very rare, smooth, brick red in colour,
due to altered xanthine metabolism.
Here there is defi ciency in xanthine oxidase enzyme.
7. Indigo stones: Very rare. Blue in colour.
8. Struvite stone: It is compound of magnesium, ammoniumphos-
phate mixed with carbonate. It occurs in presence of ammonia
and urea splitting organisms in urine, e.g. Proteus; Klebsiella.

Shapes of Stone Crystals in Urine
Type of crystal Shape of the crystal
a. Calcium oxalate monohydrate Dumbell shaped
b. Calcium oxalate dihydrate Envelope shaped
c. Uric acid Yellowish of varying
size and shape
d. Cystine Hexagonal, very soft
stones
e. Triple stone Coffi n lid shaped
Clinical Features
♦ Pain—renal pain is located over renal angle, hypochondrium
and lumbar region. Often severe radiating to groin and testis
in male, with vomiting due to pylorospasm. Pain worsens
on movements.
♦ Haematuria is common.
♦ Pyuria.
♦ Fever.
♦ Tenderness in renal angle, with often a mass in the loin
due to hydronephrosis which moves with respiration and is
bimanually palpable, ballotable, smooth, soft.
♦ As urinary tract infection.
♦ Incidental fi nding.
♦ Often hypertension.
Note:
Food rich in oxalates are, spinach, tea, cola, alcohol, citrus fruits.
Investigations
♦ Blood: ESR, serum calcium, phosphate, creatinine, blood
urea, uric acid, PTH level.
♦ Urine: Calcium, urate, cystine if suspected only, pH, specifi c
gravity.
♦ Plain X-ray, KUB: To see kidney shadow, stones (90%—
radio-opaque).
♦ IVU to see renal functions and HN.
♦ RGP if required.
♦ U/S abdomen—can detect even radioluscent stones and
gives information about the changes in renal parenchyma.
♦ Urine analysis and C/S to identify bacteria.
♦ CT scan will identify the small missed stones in ureter.

Things to remember if calculi is present inside kidney not in bladder or ureter its harmful to drink more water it will affect the renal function due to obstruction

How to prevent renal calculi

1.never postpone urination
2.drink required amount of water at needed time
3.take lots of water rich foods and vegetables take fibre rich foods (tender coconut, watermelon, etc)
4.reduced a small amount of tomato mutton spinach according to type of calculi by consulting your homoeopath.
5.Don't use  anti-perspirant it's kind of suppression

Stay safe

Appendicitis and homoeopathy

#Appendicitis and #homoeopathy

Appendix is a small organ located in our intestine, scientists have not discover the function of appendix, but I say God does not keep an organ inside us useless it has some function may be in future we will find

Inflammation to appendix is appendicitis

Common Aetiology
♦ It is common in young males.
♦ It is common in white races.
♦ Fibre rich diet prevents appendicitis. Less fibre diet
increases chance of appendicitis.
♦ It is common in May and August—seasonal variation—
often called as epidemic appendicitis.
♦ Viral infection may cause mucosal oedema and infl am-
mation which later gets infected by bacteria causing
appendicitis.
♦ Family history may be relevant in 30% of appendicitis in
children with appendicitis occurring in fi rst degree relatives.
♦ Obstruction of the lumen of appendix causing obstructive
appendicitis.
-
Blockage occurs due to—faecoliths, stricture, foreign
body, round worm or threadworm.
-
Adhesions and kinking—carcinoma caecum near the
base, ileocaecal Crohn’s disease.
♦ Distal colonic obstruction.
♦ Abuse of purgatives.
♦ Faecolith is the most common cause.

Types are acute and chronic stage

Some have sudden onset and some have no symptoms for longer period

Types
1. Acute nonobstructive appendicitis (catarrhal):
Infl ammation of mucous membrane occurs with redness,
oedema and haemorrhages which may go for following
courses:
-
Resolution.
-
Ulceration.
-
Fibrosis.
-
Suppuration.
-
Recurrent appendicitis.
-
Gangrene—rare initially in nonobstructive type but
later can occur.
-
Peritonitis.

♦ After perforation → localisation by greater omentum and
dilated ileum occurs → with suppuration and pus inside
forming appendicular abscess.
♦ In severe acute appendicitis → localisation can occur by
omentum and dilated ileum without pus inside → forming
appendicular mass.
♦ Acute appendicitis with blockage at the opening of the
lumen → infl ammation rarely subsides → mucus collects
inside the lumen of the appendix resulting in its enlargement
→ Mucocele of the appendix.

Clinical feature

Murphy’s triad
-
Pain
-
Vomiting
-
Temperature

And other symptoms are constipation urinary troubles etc

Treatment

In some cases we need immediate surgery before the perforations or gangrene starts

In some cases if it's a chronic one or an initial stage of appendicitis we can treat with homoeopathy medicine by controlling the pain vomiting and temperature and reduce the inflammation of it and get cured easily and permanently

Many homoeopathy drugs acts on appendix so find early start homoeopathy or delay it suffer with surgery

#Bronchiolitis and #homoeopathy

Bronchiolitis is a chest infection caused by a virus. It affects the small breathing tubes in the lungs. It is common in babies under six months of age, although it can occur in babies up to 12 months. Bronchiolitis in babies can be confused with asthma, as the symptoms are often the same. However, it is a different condition and requires different treatment.

Smoking in the household increases the risk of babies getting bronchiolitis or any other respiratory illness.

Bronchiolitis usually starts as a cold

Bronchiolitis usually starts as a winter cold. After a day or so, the baby begins to cough and their breathing gets rapid and wheezy. Babies are usually sick for three to five days and the cough may last two to three weeks. Premature babies (especially those who have had breathing problems) and babies with heart disease or major birth defects are more at risk of severe bronchiolitis.

Symptoms of bronchiolitis

The symptoms include:

• Cough
• Wheeziness
• Rapid breathing
• Flaring of the nostrils
• Difficulty breathing.

Bronchiolitis can appear to be like asthma but it is a different condition. Because the airways in young babies are immature and floppy, they do not constrict as they would in a child with asthma.

Beware of dehydration

Your baby may be coughing so much and having such difficulty breathing that it is hard for them to drink. Children can quickly become dehydrated if they do not get enough to drink. Offer small amounts of fluids regularly so that your child does not get too tired when feeding and is less likely to become dehydrated.

Treatment for bronchiolitis

Medicines such as antibiotics don’t help because bronchiolitis is a viral infection. It is best treated with homoeopathy by mode of onset and physical generals. Other suggestions include:

• Make sure your baby rests as much as possible.
• Offer small amounts of fluids regularly – for example, breastfeed or give formula or water more often than usual.

• Avoid smoking around your baby – in the car or house – as this will make the symptoms worse.
• If your baby is very distressed and having trouble feeding, they may need to be admitted to hospital where they can be closely observed, given homoeopathic  medicine nebulizer for relieving the distress

When to seek medical help

Bronchiolitis can make babies sick for three to five days, but the cough can last for weeks. Often the illness is easily treated with homoeopathic medicine. You should seek medical advice if you are worried or if your baby:

• Is breathing rapidly or irregularly, or both
• Refuses food and drink
• Turns blue
• Seems tired, pale and sweaty and is very irritable.

Bronchiolitis can be passed on to others

Bronchiolitis is an infectious disease. Avoid contact with other babies in the first few days. Keep your child home from child care or other places where there may be young children. Older children and adults can catch the virus that causes bronchiolitis, but it is most common in young children and babies.

Bronchiolitis does not mean a child will develop asthma

Wheezing or bronchiolitis in babies does not mean that a baby will progress to more persistent symptoms and develop asthma in childhood.

Things to remember

• Bronchiolitis is a common chest infection in babies under six months of age. Symptoms include coughing and wheezing.
• Seek medical advice if symptoms are persistent or you are worried about your baby.
• Bronchiolitis is infectious, so keep your baby home from child care or other places where there may be young children.
• Having bronchiolitis or another lung condition as a baby does not necessarily mean the baby will develop asthma as a child.
"Homoeopathy treatment will permanently eradicate the tendency to cold from the child" the treatment varies according to each individual and early intervention of homoeopathy makes patient safe and cure very fast..

Asthma

#Asthma and wheezing cases are increase day by day 3 major ailments are air pollution and decreased immunity and genetic. There many reason for decreased immunity common are too much of steroids and antibiotics intake from foods which we consume unknowingly.

In allopathic mode of treatment only palliative treatment is available and prolonged uses of steroids to relieve from asthma will lead to many internal problems like diabetes renal failure liver pathology etc.

#homoeopathy has a great scope of PERMANENT cure of asthma and without side effects

Early homoeopathic intervention early getting cured

Homoeopathy and fibroid

Uterus is not just an organ for pregnancy so never remove it unless it's a cancer or 4th stage of prolapse

Hysterectomy removal uterus is becoming a common surgery

I say to all my friends and family if u suffer from fibroid myoma uterus don't remove the uterus after removing only 1 in 1000 will be staying healthy or there will lots and lots of complications from early diabetes hypertension mood swing osteoporosis osteoarthritis migraine many more

An uterus is an organ which differs as a female so don't just remove thinking no use after pregnancy it's a major role for a women till her death regulates the hormone balance
Before menopause never remove it

If u suffer treat the symptoms till menopause after that it will automatically be cured..

Fibroid uterus as follow in next post...

#HOMOEOPATHY FOR #FIBROID:

Fibroids or myomas,  are growths or benign tumors that form inside the uterus (womb). Around 4  in 10 women over the age of 40 years will have fibroids. It is not known why fibroids develop, but it is thought that the sex hormones, oestrogen and progesterone, play key roles. This is because fibroids rarely grow in girls before puberty and women after menopause. Pre-existing fibroids stop growing and can even shrink in women after menopause. So nothing to worry when a menopause lady is been diagnosed with fibroid.
Often, fibroids do not cause any problems, but are occasionally associated with infertility, miscarriage and premature labour. Other problems can include heavy, long and painful periods.
Homoeopathy treatment purely depends upon patient as a whole and symptom based, not disease or diagnose based. The duration of treatment may vary for every  case since every case is individualized and  treated.

#Symptoms of fibroids:

Most women with fibroids do not have symptoms. When symptoms are present, they can include:

• heavy, long and painful periods
• spotting between periods
• pain during sex
•feeling of heaviness or pressure in the back, bowel and bladder
• urinating often
• a lump or swelling in the lower abdomen.

#Types of fibroids

Fibroids are categorised by their location, which includes:

• intramural – the most common type, growing in the wall of the uterus

• submucosal – growing in the lining of the uterus (endometrium), sometimes causing heavy, long and painful periods

• subserosal – growing on the outside of the wall of the uterus, sometimes appearing like long stalks.

#Complications of fibroids(if untreated):

Fibroids can cause a range of complications, including:

• Anaemia – excessive menstrual blood loss can cause anaemia, where the body is not able to carry enough oxygen in the blood. Symptoms of anaemia include breathlessness, fatigue
and paleness.

• Problems urinating – large fibroids can make the uterus bulge, pressing against the bladder. This can cause a feeling of fullness or discomfort and the need to urinate often.

• Infertility – fibroids can interfere with implantation of the fertilised egg in a number of ways. For example, the egg may try to implant into a fibroid, or fibroids may change the
shape of the uterus and make it difficult for an egg to implant.

• Miscarriage and premature delivery – fibroids can reduce blood flow to the placenta or compete for space with the developing baby.

#Diagnosis of fibroids

Fibroids can be detected using an ultrasound, where sound waves create a two-dimensional
picture. The inside of the uterus can be seen with a hysteroscope, which is a thin tube that is
passed through the cervix (entrance to the womb). A small camera may be placed at the tip of the
hysteroscope to see the inside of the uterus on a monitor.

#Treatment for fibroids:

In homoeopathy the treatment starts symptomatic and patient as whole. Patient recovers from all symptoms and will be at ease. If patient is symptoms free there is nothing to worry. The treatment duration differs from each individual according to their vital force.

The scope of fibroid in homoeopathy is wide range, many will be cured totally fibroid will get disappear, patient will be restored to good health, for some they will be symptoms free but they will be having fibroid but nothing to worry after menopause it will automatically shrink.

#Things to remember

"Fibroids are not cancerous"

Early diagnosis and treating with homoeopathy will be helpful, harmless, cost effective, no side effect and annihilation of disease in whole extent to permanent restoration of health.

Bells palsy

Bell's palsy

Bell's palsy is a paralysis or weakness of the muscles on one side of the face, with young adults of either sex more susceptible for unknown reasons.

The facial nerve services the muscles of the face, the ear, salivary and tear glands, and provides some of the sensations of taste on the tongue. This nerve enters the skull via a small opening in the petrous temporal bone at the base of the skull.

In Bell's palsy, the facial nerve swells and the resulting inflammation disrupts the relay of nervous system messages. The paralysis can be partial or total. It is thought that the inflammation and swelling of the facial nerve is caused by some type of viral infection or autoimmune system response.

Bell's palsy is characterised by a droopy appearance around the eye and mouth on the affected side of the face. It is caused by swelling of the facial nerve at the point where it passes through a small opening in the skull. The pinched and swollen nerve becomes inflamed, which interferes with the nerve's proper functioning. The reason for the swelling is unknown, although infection or autoimmune responses are suspected.

Bell's palsy usually resolves by itself within a few months. Early treatment with homoeopathy medicine will give fast recovery

Symptoms of Bell’s palsy

The symptoms of Bell's palsy include:

•paralysis or weakness on one side of the face
•numbness
•pain around the ear
•the eye can't fully close
•the mouth droops
•the face feels heavy
•foods taste slightly different.
Diagnosis of Bell’s palsy

A variety of other conditions can cause facial paralysis, including trauma, stroke, certain tumours and infections. It is important to rule out these other potential causes. Bell's palsy is diagnosed in a number of different ways, including clinical examination.

The person is typically asked to raise their eyebrows, close their eyes and smile. If the person has Bell's palsy, their eyebrows will rise asymmetrically, they won't be able to close the affected eye and one side of the mouth will droop. Special scans, including CT and MRI scans, may be used to exclude other causes.

Treatment for Bell’s palsy

The majority of people with Bell's palsy, around 90 per cent, will recover completely with time, although the paralysis may last for up to one year in severe cases. However, the remaining 10 per cent will experience some degree of permanent paralysis. Older people with pre-existing high blood pressure are at greater risk of this complication.
HOMOEOPATHY TREATMENT IS BY CAUSE AND SYMPTOMS
• artificial tears to keep the affected eye lubricated
• a patch to protect the affected eye
• using tape to close the affected eyelid at night
• medications such as corticosteroids to help reduce the swelling of the facial nerve
• pain-relieving medications
• massage
• facial exercises

During recovery from Bell’s palsy

During regeneration and repair of the facial nerve, some neural fibres may take an unusual course and connect to neighbouring muscle fibres. This produces unusual neurologic pathways. When voluntary movements are initiated, they are accompanied by involuntary movements such as eye closure, with lip pursing or mouth grimacing that occurs during blinking of the eye.
